Positive or negative event that occurred from the past will always be important and notable as it will be a part of history and not something you should just forget even if its a bad event. A country will be proud if it has experienced lots of problems and issues from the past and have changed a lot positively onto the present years. The history of Poland comprises significant territorial and legal changes and also the political events and its predecessor states. The Poland’s history is rooted in the Slavs arrival who gave rise onto permanent historic development and settlement on polish lands. Way back in 966, medieval monarchy was established and that was during the Piast dynasty which Christianity was adopted. In the year 1569, it was closing the launch of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth wherein the Jagiellonian dynasty period had brought close ties with the Territorial Expansion, Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Cultural Development. Jagiellonian prosperity was continued during the early phase Commonwealth; it has remarkable development of an innovative noble democracy. In mid-17th century, it has devastating deterioration and wars from the huge state with the period of decline from the country’s system of government. In 18th century, significant internal reforms were generally introduced but the reform process was not allowed to run its course which affected the history of Poland quite a bit.

In 1795, the Kingdom of Prussia, the Austrian Habsburg Monarchy, and the Russian Empire through series of subsequent partitions and invasions ended the Commonwealth’s independent existence. From the year 1918, there was no independent Polish state at all. In the year 1864 the Poles was involved intermittently in armed resistance. The nation preserved its identity through the programs of organic work and educational initiatives, both were intended to modernize the society and economy. After World War I, the opportunity to regain freedom acted when the separating imperial powers were conquered by revolution and war. From 1918 to 1939, the Second Polish Republic was existed and established. At the beginning of World War II, Second polish Republic was destroyed by Soviet union and Nazi Germany by their Invasion of Poland. In the course of Nazi occupation, millions of Polish citizens were perished as Nazi Germany classified both Jews and Poles as subhuman and targeted them for last execution.

The Polish government in banished kept on functioning and over the various Polish military formations on the eastern and western heads the Poles subsidized to the Allied victory. The Soviet Red Army advanced a Soviet satellite state wherein the forces of Nazi Germany forced to retreat from Poland. It led to the foundation of the communist People’s Republic of Poland. The country had lost its traditional multi-ethnic character and the geographical site was moved to the west. Way back from late 1980s Solidarity became crucial with a Polish reform government causing a peaceful evolution from a communist government to the capitalist economic system liberal legislative democracy. Within the creation of modern Polish state, this process resulted. The history of Poland is truly interesting.
